A&K Cash Registers was formed as a partnership in September 1994 by Keith Price and
Aki Tau, both having extensive experience in the Cash Register industry.
Starting as a predominantly service orientated company, rapidly expanding our customer
base through customer recommendations, by providing the best possible service, at
competitive prices.
In November 1994, A&K Cash Registers were appointed Main Dealers in South Wales for
Busicom / Gold Cash Registers.
In 1995 A&K Cash Registers were appointed as authorized Sharp dealers for South Wales.
Providing sales and service for their range of Cash Registers and EPOS Terminals,
throughout South Wales.
In 1996 A&K Cash Registers in partnership with R&B Computer Services and the
assistance of Sharp (U.K.) Ltd, embarked on a project to produce a Point of Sale Interface
and Stock Control software System, resulting in ECRINT and ECRSTOCK.
Designed to link the Sharp Range of Cash Registers,scanning system and EPOS Terminals to a
back office P.C. ECRINT offers Cash Register programming and sales analysis, while
ECRSTOCK offers Stock Control and Business Management Information previously only enjoyed
by the large multiple businesses. Designed to compliment Retail Scanning and Hospitality
environments, for the small businessman with one outlet, and small / medium multi-site
businesses, at an affordable cost.
In 1997 A&K Cash Registers were appointed the prestigious and exclusive Main
Dealership for Sharp (U.K.) Ltd. for the whole of South and West Wales.
In 1998, as a result of its success in creating an enviable reputation for quality,
affordable service and Point of Sale solutions to its ever expanding customer base,
A&K Cash Registers found that to protect this reputation it had to employ extra staff.
Two extra employees, an engineer and office managers were employed, to guarantee these
standards were not only maintained, but exceeded.
In 1999 A&K Cash Registers in partnership with R&B Computer Services have
continued to develop new and innovative Point of Sale Solutions. In July 1999 ECRINT was
integrated with a Hotel Booking and Billing System for a small multi-site group of hotels
to provide a customized solution to this customer’s business. We are currently
looking for other suitable packages to interface with, providing our customers with an
ever growing portfolio of products to solve our customers individual business needs.
